Thomas Powell – Owner / Senior Instructor
Thomas is a life-long diver. He began his underwater journey when he was 13 years old as a father/son bonding experience. Since that time he has traveled the world and gained experience encompassing all areas of SCUBA diving. Thomas teaches over 20 specialties, rescue classes, all levels of recreational training, dive-master, assistant instructor, and handicapped classes. He also has an educational background in social sciences and business. I am not sure what he was reaching for in this photo, but it seems like he was having a terrible time getting to it.
Robbie Broughton – Owner
Robbie Broughton is a public service professional who has worked in the emergency, rescue, search and rescue, and law enforcement fields. Robbie is local resident who wants to bring his love for diving to his home community. He loves working with Johnston County locals and hopes to share his passion. He began his SCUBA career in Raleigh, North Carolina and has continued to develop his skills as he works with others. Robbie also has a background in mechanical studies and is skilled at working with both SCUBA equipment, and mechanical components. Robbie is a family man through and through. He brings Thomas and Josh back to reality more often than not.
Josh Norris – Owner
Joshua Norris is the crazy guy who everyone in the shop loves. He has served in the Military since 2002 and has recently decided to make a change, choosing to adventure into the field of overseas contracting. In his many years working with the public and overseas, he has realized his love for underwater adventures, whether its taking pictures of a star-fish, or snuggling with an eel on the bottom. His experience in life has translated into a career in diving. Starting in 2008-2009 he traveled to Florida to begin training as a dive professional and has continued to build a distinct, energetic, fun-loving, and caring reputation within each community to which he travels. Josh is short and getting a little chubby in his old age. That is no reason not to love him though.
